Some of my Favorite Beauty Products

Thursday, October 4, 2018
I love trying new beauty products! I am always searching for green/organic products because it really freaks me out how many chemicals are in the products we use everyday! I have been using the ThinkDirty app which allows you to look up products based on their ingredients and then it gives the product a rating based on how "dirty" the product is! Some of my favorite brands with good ratings are Acure, Kopari, Coola and my all time favorite is the brand Cocokind!

List of my favorites!

Acure: sea moss exfoliator (favorite scrub ever! a bit more harsh then typical face scrubs but great when you really need a good polish) and green tea face wash (this stuff is amazing!!!)
Kopari: coconut oil cleanser, coconut rose water face mist (my favorite of all time!!!!), coconut body scrub (smells like heaven) and coconut melt (use it in my hair! I usually mix it with honey or olive oil it comes in a cute little jar so its great for traveling instead of carrying a big tub of coconut oil- also smells amazing)
Coola: Cucumber face sunscreen
and face setting spay (has sunscreen in it!)
CocoKind: chapsticks, coconut face oil (really good for people with dry skin! I use it at night instead of a moisturizer), rosewater facial toner, coconut all purpose balm (also great for dry skin!)

I am loving these free people pants for fall (true to size) They have a super cute button detail on the side and are super flattering! I am also loving the scarf trend this one is from Behind the Glass its Chanluu. This one is a little bit pricey but worth it because you can wear it so many different ways (in your hair, tied to a bag or around your neck!!!) Another one of my fall go-tos to this cute little Hobo bag. I splurged for my birthday but i'll definitely get a lot of use out of it! (also from BTG)

September is favorite month and I am sad to see it go. But my favorite season is fall so it sort of makes up for it! To start feeling fall-ish (even though its 100 degrees here) I bought out all my fall decorations and candles. Orange roses are also my favorite for fall. I also started a mood board with all fall colors and patterns (mostly from anthro and free people magazines). My favorite two favorite scents right now are apple cider from Anthropolgie and pumpkin pecan waffles from Bath&Body works~~~~~~Both are a must have for fall!

I love switching up my shelves and mixing things up! I am always picking up things wherever I go weather it be a post card, book or a mug. I love having things around me that remind me of different places (especially things from when I studied abroad). Its fun to showcase my favorite items of the moment on my shelves (I searched for shelves forever these are from Hobby Lobby!!!)

If your looking to change up the way you decorate try adding things like your favorite books, cookbooks, fresh flowers (or fake) and favorite quotes.

My three all time favorite cook books are: The Year of Cozy, Malibu Farms, and Magnolia Table. they all have super fun and effortless recipes that are easy to make in college. Definitely recommend having these 3 cookbooks in your library!

Birkenstocks are the perfect shoe transition from Summer to Fall! I am currently loving these pink metallic Birks that I purchased at a Free People store (they are sold out on Birkenstocks website). I love the white detailing on the bottom which makes the shoes look a little bit more dressy than traditional Birks. You can dress them up a cute outfit or just with comfy clothes!

Jeans- Free People (I always size one to two sizes up in Free people denim I'm wearing a 26)
Sweatshirt- Project Social (size medium)
Birks- (size 38 I am a 7.5 sold out in most places but linked here -> birks)

ABOUT ME

Tuesday, September 4, 2018

My name is Kayla Wynne. I am currently a senior at Auburn University and I am double majoring in Marketing and Apparel Merchandising. Fashion is something I have been passionate about for as long as I can remember and this blog is just a little insight into my life and style!

My background:
I grew up in Newport Beach, CA. I started working in retail at a small boutique when I was a junior in high school. Ever since then I've worked and been obsessed with retail. I've worked the past two Christmas breaks at Nordstrom and absolutely loved it! I am currently working, while going to school full time, at a boutique in Auburn called Behind the Glass. My dream is to someday manage my own boutique or online store.

Overall, I just want to share some of my day to day tips, how to dress in college, and everything else in-between. xx Kayla
